MIDTOWN A worker died after falling from the roof of a Midtown high-rise Thursday afternoon, the FDNY said.

The 52-year-old man plunged 45 stories and landed on a second story landing between two high-rise buildings at 135 West 52nd Street and 1301 Avenue of the Americas at around 2:20 p.m., according to the FDNY and NYPD.

The man had suffered severe trauma to the body and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The FDNY and NYPD originally reported that the man had fallen from the roof of 1301 Avenue of the Americas, but Department of Buildings and a building representative confirmed the worker fell from the 48-story building at 135 W. 52nd Street.

Property managers for 135 W. 52nd St. did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
