MOTT HAVEN — A pair of men attacked a couple early in the morning in a South Bronx subway station in an incident caught on video, police said.

The assault happened around 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 5 at the 149th Street-Grand Concourse station, where the two suspects were harassing a 28-year-old female victim, according to the NYPD.

When her 21-year-old boyfriend intervened, one of the men put him in a headlock while the other started punching him several times, police said.

His girlfriend then tried to stop the suspects, but one of them punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground, according to the NYPD.

Dramatic video of the incident shows the suspects and their victims brawling in the subway station.

The woman fell into unconsciousness and was badly cut on her face, while the man suffered multiple facial fractures.

Both were treated for their injuries at Lincoln Hospital, police said.

Officers described both suspects as men between 18 and 25 years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10.

One of the suspects was last seen wearing black sneakers, white jeans, and a black and gray T-shirt with the word "ninety" and the number "3" on it. The the other was last seen wearing dark pants and a black T-shirt.
