PARK SLOPE — Lifelong Windsor Terrace resident Bobby Carroll cruised to a win in the 44th Assembly District Democratic primary Tuesday, garnering 86 percent of the vote.

Carroll, an attorney with a long family history in politics, defeated two challengers: teacher Rob Curry-Smithson and freelance journalist and community organizer Troy Odendhal.

Carroll received 4,885 votes; Curry-Smithson received 291 and Odendhal received 246, according to state election data.

Carroll will face Republican Glenn Nocera, president of the Brooklyn Tea Party and Brooklyn Young Republicans, in the November general election.

The winner will replace Assemblyman Jim Brennan, who is retiring this year after 32 years in Albany.
