MIDTOWN — The NYPD is asking New Yorkers to keep their eyes peeled for a thief who swiped thousands of dollars worth of beauty products from Duane Reade pharmacies in July and August, according to a police report.
The suspect first showed up at the 535 Fifth Ave. Duane Reade, near East 44th Street, at about 8:20 p.m. on July 15 and made off with $2,337 worth of cosmetics, police said.
The bandit struck again at the Duane Reade at 22 W. 48th St. between Fifth and Sixth avenues on Aug. 2, walking out of awith $2,294 worth of cosmetics just after 8:30 p.m., according to authorities.
He was last seen wearing a black and blue shirt with white stripes, black jeans and black sneakers, police said.
Employees at the stores declined to comment.
