QUEENS — A man was shot dead Saturday night as he sat in his parked car in South Jamaica, with the engine running, police said.

The victim was sitting in the driver’s seat of the white Lexus sedan parked on 153rd Street, between 124th and 125th avenues, near Baisley Pond Park around 10:30 p.m., when he was shot multiple times, including once in the head, authorities said.

The man, whose name had not been released as of Monday morning, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the NYPD.

No arrests have been made and the motive remains unclear, police said Monday.

The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
