HIGHBRIDGE — A Bronx woman abandoned her infant son in a homeless shelter for days, according to police.

Shakeria Spaights, 41, is wanted for endangering the welfare of a child after she left her 5-month-old son unattended in the shelter at 935 Summit Ave. in Highbridge for at least three days, police said.

The incident was reported to the police Friday, and the infant was found wrapped in a blanket underneath his crib, according to the NYPD.

It appeared he had rolled onto a cell phone charger, but the charger was not wrapped around him or preventing him from breathing as had been reported in other publications, police said.

He was conscious and alert but dehydrated, and he was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Spaights was previously forced to give up a child after the Administration for Children's Services investigated her for abuse, according to the NYPD.

She has not been found or arrested yet, police said.
