MANHATTAN — The rapper Desiigner was arrested Thursday night for pointing a gun at another driver in a road rage-dispute while carrying a cache of pills in his white Escalade, police said.

Sidney Selby, 19, who reports identified as the artist behind the number one hit song "Panda," rolled down the rear window of the SUV and flicked a lit cigarette at another driver before pulling out a gun at West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue after exiting the Lincoln Tunnel about 9:10 p.m., police said.

The SUV fled the scene, but the 42-year-old man Desiingner had threatened called police, who tracked the rapper near East 42nd Street and Third Avenue, police said.

He was arrested for menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, which police described as "various pills."

Five others who were with him in the Escalade were also taken into custody. It wasn't immediately clear if they were charged.

Selby hadn't been arraigned as of Friday morning, court records show.

Selby, who's grandfather played guitar for The Drifters and The Isley Brothers, grew up in Bed-Stuy's Louis Armstrong Houses, Billboard reported.

He committed himself to music after getting shot at 14, the outlet reported. Since then, he's climbed the ranks and now performs under Kanye West's label G.O.O.D. Music.
