FORT WADSWORTH — A man led police on a car chase over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge before crashing his vehicle in Brooklyn, police said.

Authorities were alerted after a woman called her family about 5:54 a.m. Friday saying she feared for her life and was in a car with three men, the NYPD said.

Her family called 911 and officers found the car near Anderson Avenue and Broadway in West Brighton, according to the NYPD.

The driver sped off, crossing the Verrazano Bridge with police on his tail and crashing near 10th Avenue and 65th Street in Dyker Heights, officials said.

A man was taken into custody at the scene and police are looking for two other men — possibly armed — who were inside the car, the NYPD said.

There were no reported injuries and the man has yet to be charged, police said. There were no details about the woman's relationship with the three men or why she feared for her life.
