EAST VILLAGE — A local ice cream chain specializing in made-to-order, hand-rolled frozen treats has unfurled its third Lower Manhattan location on St. Mark's Place.

Thai-inspired ice cream parlor 10 Below first started churning out ice cream rolls last year, when brothers Richard and Wilson Tam opened their premiere shop in Chinatown with friend and business partner David Chen. The parlor has since expanded to include a Lower East Side joint on Allen Street and now, as of Sept. 6, an East Village location at 42 1/2 Saint Marks Place.

The shop also has a storefront in Flushing, Queens, and plans to open up a location in Los Angeles.

Ice cream experts at the shops pour ice cream onto thermoelectric plates cooled to -10 degrees Fahrenheit, then hand-fold a smorgasbord of ingredients such as fresh fruits, cereals and candies into the ice cream in front of  customers' eyes.

Cool offerings on the menu include Monkey Business, which incorporates banana and Nutella, and Key Lime Pie, which folds in fresh lime and graham crackers.
