Man Hit in the Head, Robbed at Bedford-Nostrand Train Station, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are searching for two men they say assaulted another man and robbed him inside a Bedford-Stuyvesant subway station.

The 31-year-old victim was walking inside the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues G train station around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 19 when two men hit him in the back of the head, police said.

The assailants took his shoulder bag and fled, according to officials, leaving the victim with a minor injury. He was treated at a local hospital.

Police described one of the suspects as approximately 20 years old, 5-foot-9 and weighing 150 pounds with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and a navy blue baseball hat.

The second suspect was wearing black sweatpants and a navy blue and white striped T-shirt with the words “United States” written on the front. He is described as about 20 years old with black hair, about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds.
