MANHATTAN — A man died Wednesday morning after jumping in front of a 6 train on the Upper East Side, officials said.
The man, whose name and age weren't immediately released, was hit inside the 77th Street station near Lexington Avenue minutes before 8 a.m., according to FDNY and NYPD spokesmen.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, an FDNY spokesman said.
Service on the 4, 5 and 6 trains were disrupted during the Wednesday morning commute, but returned to regular service with delays about 9:36 a.m., the MTA said.
