Man Pistol Whipped in Bronx Home Invasion, NYPD Says

THE BRONX — A man was pistol whipped and robbed in his near Yankee Stadium after he left his apartment door open, according to the NYPD.

The robber burst into the home where the door was left ajar in the building at Anderson Avenue and W. 165th St. early Sunday morning at about 1:43 a.m., a police spokesman said. Once inside he hit the 32-year-old man on the head with a gun and then stole $160 in cash and an ID, the spokesman added.

Two other people who were in the apartment were uninjured.

The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated for a laceration and released.

The suspect was seen on video running down a building stairwell with his gun drawn. 

Police described him as in his mid-20s and said he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers and white gloves.
