THE BRONX — A woman sitting on a park bench was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Grant Park Tuesday night, police said.

The 38-year-old victim, whose identity wasn't immediately released, was sitting in the park near Sheridan Avenue and East 170th Street at about 10:15 p.m. when a burgundy sedan drove past and opened fire, an NYPD spokesman said Wednesday.

The woman was hit once in the shoulder and treated at Lincoln Medical Center, where she's listed in stable condition, police said.

There were no immediate arrests, police added.

It wasn't clear what sparked the shooting.
