UPPER EAST SIDE — A purse snatcher dragged a woman outside a Panera Bread restaurant and shoved her to the ground when she tried to fight back, the NYPD said.

The 25-year-old victim was standing in line at the 120 E. 86th St. eatery  when a man grabbed her purse at about 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 30, police said.

When the victim wouldn't let go, the suspect dragged her outside onto the sidewalk and pushed her to the ground, before fleeing into the East 86th Street subway station with her bag, which contained $200 in cash and credit cards, according to authorities.

The woman, who lives on the Upper East Side, refused medical attention, police said.

The suspect is described as between 35 and 45 years old and standing roughly 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9. He was wearing a green T-shirt and jeans with the bottoms rolled up, and was carrying a plastic bag.

Panera  Bread did not immediately return a request for comment Tuesday.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
