QUEENS — A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night while sitting in a parked car with two friends, police said.

The men were in the car on Jamaica Avenue, near the Van Wyck Expressway, when a gunman approached and fired multiple rounds around 9:30 p.m., officials said.

Albert Schaper of North Bergen, New Jersey, was shot in the chest and was later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, according to the NYPD.

Another man, 31, was shot in both arms and transported to Jamaica Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. A third man, 21, was struck by shattered glass, police said.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, the NYPD said Monday.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
