MIDTOWN — Finally.

New Yorkers can expect glorious weather this Labor Day weekend with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s, forecasters said.

Temperatures will reach into the high 70s Friday through Sunday and into the low 80s on Monday, while lows are expected to dip into the upper- to mid-60s each night.

While the weather will be cooler compared to recent heat waves, people should still make sure to wear sunscreen and be cautious in the water, experts said.

“[You] do have to be careful for rip currents at the beach,” NWS spokeswoman Carlie Buccola said.

Water temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s, Buccola added.

Those looking to fit in some end-of-summer activities still have time to kayak on the Hudson River or have drinks overlooking Central Park.

For those planning to get out of the city, the Long Island Rail Road will run its express Cannonball service to the Hamptons leaving Penn Station on Friday at 4:06 p.m. and returning Labor Day starting at 6:37 p.m. from Montauk.
