COURT SQUARE — Chipotle will debut its first Long Island City location soon.
The Mexican fast food chain will open an outpost at 26-14 Jackson Ave., near Purves Street, on Sept. 24, a company spokeswoman said.
It will be taking over the ground-floor space of a luxury apartment building and signs for the eatery went up earlier this week, the Court Square blog noted.
The restaurant expects to employ between 25 and 30 people and is looking for "top performers" to join its staff, the spokeswoman said. Those interested in applying can visit Chipotle's website here.
News of the Long Island City location first surfaced last year.
Once open, the new Chipotle will operate from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m daily, the company said.
