UPPER EAST SIDE — A man grabbed a 19-year-old woman's backside inside the 68th Street train station and then followed her to her classroom in Hunter College, according to the NYPD.

The suspect, who police described as a man in his 40s, grabbed the woman as she was getting off a southbound 6 train at the 68th Street-Hunter College station at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

He then followed her into Hunter College and up to a classroom but fled when she saw him, according to police.

Video surveillance inside the school shows him walking through the turnstiles of the lobby. Police didn't have information about how he was able to get past the turnstiles.

A spokeswoman for Hunter College said school officials are "reviewing the situation and continues to make every effort to ensure the safety of the entire Hunter community."

Police are still looking for the suspect, who they describe as standing roughly 5-foot-10 and wearing a blue T-shirt, light-colored shorts and a backpack.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
