MANHATTAN — A man was shot in the head during a fight in Inwood Monday morning, the NYPD said.

The 26-year-old man was in a fight at the corner of Tenth and Sherman avenues, when someone shot him in the head and right arm about 4:40 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

He suffered critical injuries and was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital, according to authorities.

It wasn't immediately clear what the fight was about, police said.

There were no immediate arrests and police could not yet provide a description of a suspect.
