MIDTOWN SOUTH — He should have stopped at the dentist first.

A man with “crooked and discolored teeth” robbed a Midtown bank after telling employees he had a gun, the NYPD said.

The suspect entered the Santander Bank at 1350 Broadway, between West 35th and 36th streets, around 2:07 p.m. on Aug. 24, went up to the teller window and said he had a gun before demanding cash, police said.

After two tellers handed the thief an undetermined amount of cash, he left the bank and fled westbound on West 35th Street on foot, the NYPD said.

The thief never actually displayed a gun during the incident, police noted.

The bank’s manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday.

Police are searching for an approximately 5-foot-7 man in his late 40s or early 50s, with a gray beard and crooked, discolored teeth.

He was last seen wearing a bright orange T-shirt, blue jeans and a gray baseball cap with “NY” on the lid, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips on the website.
