Man Steals Cash from Staten Island Mosque, Police Say

DONGAN HILLS — A man stole cash from a Staten Island mosque last month, police said.

The man walked into the front door of the Muslim American Society Staten Island Center, at 180 Burgher Ave., on July 28 at about 6:30 a.m., the NYPD said.

He swiped an undetermined amount of cash from the mosque then fled.

Police described the man as between 30 to 40 years old with dark hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, jacket and shorts.
