ASTORIA — Two men stabbed another man in Queens Tuesday night during a drug deal gone awry, stealing $800 and a suitcase full of marijuana before fleeing, an NYPD source said.

The men and two 27-year-old male victims — one of them believed to be a drug dealer — were inside an apartment near 33rd Street and 31st Avenue around 11:20 p.m. when the suspects, thought to be the ones buying the drugs, punched both victims in the face, the source said.

When the victims tried to run, one of the assailants stabbed one of them in the hand and back, police said. The suspects stole $800 and a suitcase filled with marijuana from the apartment before fleeing north on 33rd Street, according to the source.

The man with the stab wounds was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

The suspects are believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, according to the NYPD. One wore a dark long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and dark shoes while the other was wearing a gray T-shirt and dark pants, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
