MIDTOWN — A bus caught fire at the Port Authority Bus Terminal during rush hour Thursday, FDNY officials said.
A Community Lines shuttle bus in the terminal garage got overheated around 4:45 p.m. and caught fire, causing no injury to the bus driver and single passenger, FDNY and Port Authority officials said.
Firefighters had the fire under control by 5:25 p.m, but the incident had already caused residual delays, according to a Port Authority alert on the agency's website.
Many passengers took to Twitter to gripe about the delays in the terminal and the congested traffic outside.

There's a bus on fire on the lower level of port authority so I guess I'm stuck here forever.

Lots of fire trucks at Port Authority Bus Terminal right now. Traffic at a total standstill all around it. Lots of very angry drivers.
