HIGH BRIDGE — A gas station employee was robbed of roughly $200 at knifepoint in the South Bronx, police said.

The suspect walked up to the 48-year-old victim around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Petroleum Gas at 1165 Ogden Ave., placed a knife to his back and grabbed the cash from his hands, according to the NYPD.

Dramatic video of the incident shows the suspect pulling out the knife, holding it against the victim and ripping money out of his hand.

Police described the suspect as between 18 and 20 years old, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, dark shorts with yellow designs and white sneakers.

Representatives from the gas station could not immediately be reached for comment.
