LONGWOOD — Two brothers were shot outside of a Planet Fitness in the South Bronx on Wednesday following an argument with their attacker inside the gym, police said.
The 24- and 28-year-old victims were in the Planet Fitness at 1030 Southern Blvd. around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday when they got into a dispute with another man, according to the NYPD.
The three men left the gym, and their argument turned violent when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot both brothers, hitting the 24-year-old in his right foot and the 28-year-old in his left shoulder before fleeing down Southern Boulevard towards Hunts Point Avenue, police said.
EMS took the victims to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Police are unsure what initially sparked the argument between the three men.
Officers described the suspect in the shooting as a man with braided black hair who was wearing a red baseball hat, dark shorts, sneakers and a white T-shirt.

McCall Gosselin, vice president of public relations and communications at Planet Fitness, said the franchise owner is working with local authorities to help investigate the shooting.
"The health and safety of our members is our top priority," Gosselin said in a statement. "Planet Fitness does not tolerate violence, or the threat of violence of any kind, in our clubs."
