UPPER EAST SIDE — Home of the "cupcake ATM" Sprinkles Cupcakes was shuttered briefly this week because of mice and other vermin-related violations, according the city's Department of Health.

The 782 Lexington Ave. shop near East 61st Street was shutdown on Monday after an inspector found evidence of mice and "conditions conducive to attracting vermin," city records show.

The eatery racked up a total of 34 violation points, including other transgressions such as improperly building surfaces in a way that makes cleaning inaccessible.

The shop reopened on Wednesday at 4 p.m., store employees said.

The general manager did not immediately respond to questions on Thursday afternoon and the health department did not respond to a request for more information.

The company's ice cream shop next door was closed last summer on July 9, 2015, for not having a separate sink to wash equipment. The store had been using the bakery's sink to wash utensils, the DOH said at the time.
