QUEENS — A graffiti-covered façade of an empty Rego Park storefront which in the past housed an adult entertainment club was cleaned Thursday morning after numerous complaints from residents, according to a local politician.

Wiggles, at 96-24 Queens Blvd., near the 63rd Drive-Rego Park subway station, closed many years ago and its façade, which still features the club's logo, has been since completely covered in graffiti.

Prompted by numerous complaints from neighborhood residents, Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz allocated $5,000 from her discretionary funds to the Queens Economic Development Corporation for its anti-graffiti program, which allowed to clean up several graffiti-covered spots in her district, including Wiggles, according to her office.

On Thursday, Koslowitz posted a picture on her Facebook page showing her using a power washer to clean the storefront.

“Cleaning up the former Wiggles storefront on Queens Boulevard in Rego Park,” the caption read. “This affects the quality of life of my constituents and it is unacceptable.”

Efforts to reach the owner of the property, listed in city records as Yi-Chen Liu, were unsuccessful.

But Frank Ko of E Realty International Corp., a broker for the property, said that the 10,000 square-foot space is available and the asking rent is about $60 per square foot a year.
