ASTORIA — A water main break sent muddy waters gushing into the streets of Queens on Wednesday.
The water main ruptured at the intersection of 30th Avenue and 12th Street at around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, fire department officials said.
Representatives from Con Edison, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and Department of Transportation were at the scene, but no one was able to immediately provide information about the rupture's cause.
No one was evacuated but temporary street closures were put in effect, police said.
