CARNEGIE HILL — A serial bank robber, who has been noted for his dapper style, was caught on surveillance robbing his ninth bank, police said.

In the latest robbery, the suspect, wearing a red sweater and aviator sunglasses, walked into an HSBC at 45 E. 89th St. at Madison Avenue on Monday at 12:32 p.m. and slid the teller a note demanding cash, police said.

The teller complied and he left the store with cash, but police couldn't immediately say how much.

The suspect is connected to eight other bank robberies across Manhattan, and in each incident he was seen wearing his signature sunglasses and some kind of head covering including a fedora, bike helmet and beanie.

Most recently, he robbed another HSBC bank at 1165 Third Ave. on July 18 and, before that, the same HSBC bank at 45 E. 89th St. on July 8, police said — each time passing a note to the teller demanding cash.

HSBC declined to comment.
