GRANITEVILLE — The general manager of Charlie Brown's Grill stole more than $11,000 worth of deposit slips from the restaurant, a law enforcement source said.

Robert Onimous, 31, of Montclair, New Jersey, swiped three deposit slips between June 12 and Aug. 6 from the 1001 Goethals Road N. chain that totaled $11,303, prosecutors said.

"I was stupid. I should not have taken the money, I have a problem," Onimous told officers when he was arrested on Wednesday, according to court papers.

Onimous was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny at his Thursday arraignment, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's office.

He was released without bail and is due back in court on Nov. 15, according to online court records.

Contact information for Onimous' lawyer was not immediately available.
