MANHATTAN — A woman fought off a man who put her in a headlock in Riverside Park by hitting him in the groin and biting him on the mouth, police said.
The attacker asked the 48-year-old woman what time it was as she walked her dog near 107th Street and Riverside Drive at around 5:20 a.m. on Aug. 5, police said.
He grabbed the woman and put her in a headlock, but she hit him in the groin and he quickly released her, police said.
The man tried the headlock once again and tried to kiss her on the mouth, but she bit his lips instead and he fled the park, according to officials.
Police describe the suspect as a man in his 20s with curly brown hair, brown eyes, a medium complexion and muscular build.
He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts and white sneakers, police said.
