BUSHWICK — A burglar wearing a shirt as a hood wildly smashed a storefront window with a crowbar before snatching $300 worth of merchandise, according to police and video of the incident.
Police are now trying to track down the man responsible for the theft at Gift Shop Inc., located at 785 Broadway near Flushing Avenue, just before 8 a.m. Monday morning.
The burglar, who was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt, a gray shirt over his head and a red backpack, stole two boxes of shoes and three pairs of jeans worth $300 in total, store workers told police said.
Staff at the store could not immediately be reached for comment.
