HELL’S KITCHEN — Applications for nearly 80 affordable apartments at a luxury building in Hell’s Kitchen open Tuesday, with rents starting at $980 for a one-bedroom.
Depending on income, studio apartments will go for $913 per month and two-bedrooms will go for $1,183 per month at 525 W. 52nd St., between 10th and 11th avenues.
For additional fees, residents will be able to use the building’s library, fitness center, screening room, sports lounge, pet spa, party room, outdoor roof decks, laundry room, storage room and “golf simulators,” the city said.
The building, which will also have a 24-hour concierge desk, is offering 79 affordable units, with the following income requirements:
► Nineteen studio apartments are available to one-person households earning between $32,640 and $38,100 per year, or two-person households earning between $32,640 and $43,500 per year.
► Thirty-nine one-bedroom apartments are available to one-person households earning between $34,971 and $38,100 per year, or two-person households earning between $34,971 and $43,500 per year.
► Twenty-one two-bedroom apartments are available to two-person households earning between $41,966 and $43,500 per year, three-person households earning between $41,966 and $48,960 per year, or four-person households earning between $41,966 and $54,360 per year.
Preference for 50 percent of the units will go to residents of Manhattan Community Board 4, which covers Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen.
Municipal employees, mobility-disabled applicants and vision- or hearing-impaired applicants will also receive preference.
The monthly rent includes gas for cooking.

Applicants can apply online or request a mail-in application by sending a self-addressed envelope to 525 W. 52nd Street Apts, 243 Fifth Avenue, Box 428, New York, NY 10016.
Residents will be selected through a lottery and interview process.
The last day to apply is Oct. 8.
