BROOKLYN — A “badly decomposed” body washed ashore at Floyd Bennett Field Friday afternoon, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The man, who appeared to be in his late 40s, was discovered on the rocky shore near Aviation Road at about 5:20 p.m., the spokeswoman added. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.
