QUEENS — A healthy baby boy was born on an MTA bus during the evening rush-hour in Jamaica Wednesday, FDNY and MTA officials said.

The mother went into labor when she was riding the Q9 bus around 6:15 p.m., authorities said.

The driver pulled over at the intersection of 150th Street and Jamaica Avenue, near Rufus King Park, as first reported by NBC New York.

The woman gave birth inside the bus before EMS arrived, fire officials said.

Mother and baby were taken to Jamaica Hospital where both were resting in good condition, according to the FDNY.
