EAST TREMONT — A man was shot to death inside a Bronx salon Tuesday evening, according to the NYPD.
Julio Lebron, 29, was found mortally wounded inside Believe Beauty Salon on Southern Blvd., near E. Tremont Avenue, at around 5:45 p.m., police said.
Police officers responded to a 911 report that there was an argument involving a gun taking place at the salon and found Lebron unconscious and unresponsive, authorities said.
One witness heard gunshots and saw people running out of the salon.
"We heard a couple shots," said Ernesto Diaz, who works at Los Reyes Barbershop on Southern Blvd. "And then I saw everyone running."
Lebron was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Two suspects who fled the scene in a silver Honda are wanted for questioning, sources said.
Friends described Lebron as a devoted father.
"He was big on taking care of his kids and his family," said Jason Elko, 42, a friend who lived near the salon. "I haven't slept all night."
"He was a good guy," said Cesar Ramirez, 29, a friend from high school. "He lived for kids."
