QUEENS — Police are looking for two men hitting pharmacies in Queens.
The two suspects have a modus operandi: cutting the padlock attached to roll-up gates to gain access during early morning hours.
The men first struck on Sunday, June 19, at 4:40 a.m. trying to get into Cooperman Pharmacy at 143-73 243 St. in Rosedale, according to the NYPD.
They didn't steal anything, however, until their second attempt on Sunday, July 24 at 4:30 a.m. at Manson Pharmacy at 137-69 Queens Blvd. in Jamaica. After cutting the padlock and prying open the front door, they got away with $100 and various medications valued at $300, police said.
On Thursday, July 28, the two men also tried to get inside Makki Pharmacy & Surgicals, Inc. at 224-04 Linden Blvd. in Cambria Heights, but didn't succeed.
In the latest incident on Saturday, July 30, the suspects stole $900 and MetroCards from Casson Pharmacy at 112-10 Springfield Blvd. in Queens Village.
Both suspects have been described as being between 35 to 45 years old. One man is around 170 pounds, and was wearing a dark sweatshirt, blue jeans and sneakers. The other is about 200 pounds and was wearing a blue T-shirt, dark-colored pants and white baseball cap.
