QUEENS — The Forest Hills Bath & Body Works has closed temporarily in order to undergo extensive renovation, the company said Tuesday.

The entrance to the store, located at 70-46 Austin St. between Continental Avenue and 70th Road, was boarded up in late July.

The location is expected to reopen and once again sell shower gels, lotions, candles and perfumes sometime this fall, according to the company.

The store's entire interior, including walls, flooring and ceilings, will be redone as part of the $360,000 makeover which will also include mechanical and plumbing work associated with the new layout of the store, according to city records.

Once finished, the store will feature "a full Bath and Body Works with an expanded White Barn Candle shop inside,” the company said in an email.

The nearest Bath & Body Works is currently located at the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst.
