68-Year-Old Driver's Death Ruled a Homicide After Flushing Road Rage Fight

By Ben Fractenberg | August 2, 2016 5:04pm

QUEENS — A 68-year-old man whose skull was fractured after a road rage fight in Flushing on July 22 died on Saturday and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the NYPD.

Chun Tse’s vehicle collided with 44-year-old Cleamon Anderson’s car in front of Anderson’s home at 45-15 Colden St. just before noon, police said. The two drivers got out of their vehicles and Anderson socked Tse in the head, knocking him to the ground.

Tse, who lived on 46th Avenue in Corona, fractured his skull and bruised his brain, which then started bleeding and swelling.

He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian/Queens hospital, where he died on July 30.

His death was ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner on Monday.

Anderson was arrested after the incident and charged with assault.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office was investigating the death, according to a spokeswoman who could not yet say if there were plans to upgrade the charges against Anderson.

The 44-year-old man was arrested in 1989 for assault, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.

Anderson told prosecutors that Tse first grabbed his sister, who was in the car with Anderson during the collision, and then “made a fake maneuver” and fell to the ground after being confronted, according to a criminal complaint.

The driver was released on $50,000 bail and is due back in court on Thursday.
