HARLEM — A passenger who had to run to catch a bus punched the driver in the face when he got on board, police said.

The suspect ran after the bus in East Harlem at 116th and Lexington Avenue at 10 p.m. July 30, police said.

The suspect then started arguing with the 31-year-old driver about having to run, police said.

The suspect hit the driver on the right side of his face and fled the scene, police said.

The MTA did not respond to a request for comment.
