WEST VILLAGE — A woman was arrested for throwing a Bluetooth speaker at her boyfriend's face while they were arguing, police said.

Police said the couple was arguing in their Grove Street apartment about 2 a.m. on July 22 when the 34-year-old woman hurled a wireless Bluetooth speaker at her boyfriend's face.

The speaker left his left eyebrow and nose bruised, bleeding and swollen, police said.

Police said the 35-year-old boyfriend was taken to Lenox Health Greenwich Village in an ambulance.

The girlfriend was arrested and charged with felony assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree with intent to use.

A judge issued a temporary order of protection at the woman's arraignment but released her without bail. She is due back in court on Sept. 27.

Her attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
