Man Robbed of Glasses, Calculator After Daytime Attack in FiDi, Police Say

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A man was beaten and robbed of his glasses and calculator in an afternoon attack on Nassau Street, police said.

The 25-year-old Queens man was repeatedly punched and kicked during the July 9 robbery as he walked near the corner of Liberty Street at about 1:50 p.m, police said.

The alleged robber, 35-year-old Oscar Delosrios, quickly took a $25 calculator from the victim's backpack then snatched his $200 glasses that had fallen off the his face before running off.

Delosrios was arrested soon after the robbery, police said.

He was charged with second degree robbery and criminal possession of stolen property, according to his criminal complaint.

Delsorios is being held on a $2,500 cash or $7,500 bond bail and is due back in court on Aug. 4.

His court-appointed attorney did not immediately return request for comment.
