EAST WILLIAMSBURG — You could score a $722 studio in a brand new building located on Grand Street, a block away from the L train.

Applications through the city's affordable housing lottery are now open for 13 subsidized apartments in the The Brooklyn Grand at 774 Grand St., on the corner of Humboldt Street.

The 64-unit rental building boasts a roof terrace, a gym, storage facilities, parking spots and bike storage.

Three studios in the affordable housing lottery will rent out for $722 for people who earn between $26,092 and $38,100 a year.

Affordable one bedrooms will rent at $741 for one person households making between $26,778 and $38,100, and two person households that earn between $26,779 and $43,500 combined.

Families with between two and four people are eligible to apply for $900 two-bedroom apartments if they earn between $32,263 and $54,360 annually.

Applications are due by August 17.

Grand Street Development, the company behind the 774 Grand St. project, has three nearby buildings on Lorimer Street, Maujer Street and Jackson Street, according to their website.

Dean Marchi, CEO of Grand Street Development, promised that market-rate tenants and rent-stabilized ones would be treated the same in their new building.

"Everybody will have access to everything," Marchi said, who wouldn't say immediately provide the asking price for market-rate rentals in the building. "There no distinction between one tenant and another."

The building should be ready for tenants to move in by September, Marchi said.

On the building's ground floor, a large retail space could be rented out to one business, or subdivided to accommodate several smaller ones, Marchi said.

He's in talks with local businesses and national chains, though hasn't finalized any tenants yet.
