BROOKLYN — A man was struck and killed by a C train at the Franklin Avenue station in Bed-Stuy Wednesday, officials said.

The man, in his 30s, plunged onto the tracks at the Franklin Avenue station at about 11:45 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Doris Williams, 39, was on the platform and said she saw a man take off his clothes and then jump onto the tracks.

"I was like, 'Get up out of there!' He was screaming, 'Cadet!' He was hollering, saying something about how he was in the Army," Williams said. "He was crouching, laying down on the tracks saying, 'I got you covered!'"

She then left the station to call 911.

"We turned our backs. I didn't wanna be a witness to nothing like that," Williams added. "It was sad. It was petrifying. It was very upsetting."

Manhattan-bound C trains were running express from Broadway Junction to Hoyt-Schermerhorn as a result, according to the MTA

There were also delays on Manhattan-bound A trains.

Riders were advised to use the B25 bus for alternate service.
