MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a teen who attempted to rob a senior citizen at knifepoint Thursday morning.
The suspect, who police identified as 19-year-old Melik Bullock, approached an 86-year-old man from behind on the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue and West 152nd Street around 9:50 a.m. on July 21, according to officials.
Bullock flashed a knife and demanded the man’s property, but the senior refused and ran from the suspect, who chased him southbound along St. Nicholas Avenue, police said.
The suspect fled empty-handed when the victim started calling for help from people on the street, according to officials.
Police described Bullock as 5-foot-9, weighing 170 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
