NEW SPRINGVILLE — A trio of thieves stole more than $1,000 worth of laxatives, probiotics and other medications from a Staten Island Target over the weekend, prosecutors said.

Troy English, 48, Darrell Brandon, 38, and Sobeir Easterling, 36, went into the Target at 2873 Richmond Ave. on Sunday at about 4:45 p.m. and swiped $1,034 worth of merchandise from the store, prosecutors said.

Brandon and Easterling were caught on surveillance footage putting the medication from the shelves into a hand basket, then a black bag carried by English and walking out of the store, prosecutors said.

Police later found the bag in their car. It had two boxes of teeth whitening strips, three bottles of Rogaine, shampoo and conditioner, six bottles of allergy medication Flonase, three packages of Probiotic Rephresh, 12 packages of heartburn medication Prilosec, five packages of Nexium, six Prevacid packages and two Dulcolax laxatives inside, prosecutors said.

The trio were charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's office.

English was also charged with possession of burglar's tools.

English and Brandon's bail was set at $1,500 and they're due back in court on Friday, according to online court records.

Easterling's bail was set at $1,000 and he's due back in court on Friday.

Their lawyers did not respond to requests for comment.
