QUEENS — The Forest Hills Stadium has hosted the biggest rock stars and tennis players. Now, top chefs and winemakers will join the mix, as a new festival, headlined by Aretha Franklin and Sheryl Crow, is headed to the neighborhood, the organizers said.

A two-day event, organized by Forest Hills Stadium concert promoters and downtown wine bar City Winery, is scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18, and will feature about 40 New York top chefs including Daniel Boulud, Drew Nieporent, David Waltuck, Marcus Samuelsson and Joey Campanaro, as well as more than 75 top wineries from around the world, the organizers said.

Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers, Gillian Welch, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Dawes, Josh Ritter, Deer Tick, Houndmouth and The Wild Feathers will also play during the festival.

Wine stands will be grouped into "villages," according to their origins, including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Spain, Italy, Argentina, Oregon, California and New York, the organizers said.

Attendees will get to taste wines and food during breaks between music performances which will be about 45 minutes to an hour long.
