TIMES SQUARE — Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square is about to triple in size.

Hershey's is moving its flagship chocolate emporium on Broadway and West 48th Street to a new site with three times as much space at 701 Seventh Ave., between West 47th and West 48th streets, the Hershey Company said.

The new outpost is expected to open at the end of 2017.

“We are thrilled to expand our Hershey’s Chocolate World presence in New York with a new, larger flagship store in the heart of Times Square, which is truly the crossroads of the world,” Hershey Experience’s vice president Suzanne Jones said in a statement.

“Our vision is to create a destination where people of all ages can interact with our iconic brands and immerse themselves in all things chocolate,” she added.

The current Hershey’s store will remain open until the new location is completed, a Hershey’s spokeswoman said.

Construction is expected to start early next year.
