
FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Free movies under the stars are on their way to the Financial District.
A family-friendly movie series will run every Thursday, starting this week, through Aug. 25 at 28 Liberty Plaza, organizers announced.
The film series — sponsored by 28 Liberty St. owner Fosun and Lower Manhattan business district organization, the Downtown Alliance — will feature family classics including "E.T." and "The Goonies."
Movies, which will be projected onto a 15-foot high, 20-foot wide screen, will start at 8 p.m. Gratis popcorn will be served, and food vendors will be on hand for purchasing more substantial movie snacks.
