HARLEM — A shoplifting duo stole a bag of shrimp from an East Harlem bodega and attacked a store worker, police said.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, the man and woman entered Cherry Valley, a bodega on East 115th Street, police said.

The woman was spotted by a store worker stuffing a $14 bag of shrimp and other unknown objects under her shirt, police said.

The worker confronted the pair before they attacked him. The woman held the worker while the man struck the man with a closed fist, police said. The man and woman then fled the bodega.

The worker told police the two were regulars at the store. The bodega worker did not sustain any major injuries, police said.

The man was 6 feet tall and weighed about 160 pounds. The woman was about 5-foot-2 and weighed about 115 pounds.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
